Earth Day Everyday at Mythology

We get it, “sustainability” can sound like one of those words everyone throws around while still secretly trashing the planet. That’s not our vibe. We’re a whiskey distillery that actually gives a damn. And on Earth Day, we’re here to raise a glass to doing things better – for the environment, for our community, and selfishly, for future generations of badass whiskey drinkers.

Solar Array

Let’s start at the top. Literally. Our solar array is one of the most visible symbols of our commitment. Sitting proudly atop the buildings of our Steamboat Campus, it generates clean energy and sends excess power back into the grid. This not only offsets our own operational electricity but contributes to vital resources for our community.

Water Conservation

Behind the scenes, we’ve implemented thoughtful processes to conserve one of the Yampa Valley’s most precious resources: water. Every drop matters, and we continuously evaluate and update our systems to minimize waste while maintaining the highest standards in spirit production.

Locally Sourced Ingredients

Sustainability continues beyond our distillery operation. Our cocktail and food menus are carefully curated with ingredients sourced locally from farms and producers. Supporting our neighbors not only reduces our carbon footprint, but also strengthens our connection to the community, and ensures everything we serve is as fresh and flavorful as it gets.

Partners in Agriculture

When we use grain in our recipes, we’re proud to use Colorado-grown grain. After we’ve transformed it into award-worthy spirits, we compost what we can. We also arrange for spent grain, what’s left after distillation, to be returned to the ecosystem through partnerships with local ranchers. It’s used as nutrient-rich livestock feed, so it benefits both the land and the people who care for it.

More to Come

We know there’s always more work to do. Sustainability is a journey, not a destination, and we’re committed to moving forward with integrity, intention, and transparency.

So today, and every day, we raise our glass to the land, the water, the sun, and the people who make it all possible.

Happy Earth Day.
