Mythology Distillery Spelling Bee Rules
Event Details:
Free entry at Mythology Distillery.
Participants win a whiskey taste after advancing to the second round.
The grand prize is a bottle of our Best Friends Bourbon
Participation:
No fee to play.
No age limit to participate, but alcohol prizes can only be awarded to participants 21 and over.
Rounds and Elimination:
The Bee consists of 4 rounds, with each round becoming progressively more difficult.
Single elimination format: the competition continues until only one speller remains.
If the final word is missed by the last 2 participants, new words will be given until a single speller is left.
Prizes:
Spellers who correctly spell their first word receive a whiskey taste.
The Grand Champion, the last speller standing, wins a bottle of bourbon.
Gameplay:
Contestants will be called to the stage individually in the same order each round.
Each contestant will be presented with a challenging word.
To advance to the next round, the contestant must:
State the word.
Spell the word in its entirety.
State the word again to signify completion.
Clarifications:
Before spelling, contestants may ask the host for:

Parts of speech
A sentence using the word (which may be humorous or offensive)
Conduct:
Cheating is strictly prohibited:
No yelling out letters or hints.
No use of cell phones.
Cheating may result in public embarrassment and lifetime banishment from Routt County.
Discretion:
As the Spelling Bee is a unique event at Mythology Distillery, the organizers reserve the right to change, bend, or ignore any and all rules at any point in time for any reason.
