Strawberry Fields

  • 2 oz Mythology Best Friend Bourbon
  • .5 oz strawberry basil syrup
  • 2 dash creole bitters 

Combine all ingredients into a mixing glass. Stir and strain into a rocks glass with 1 strawberry puree ice cube.  

To create the Strawberry Basil Syrup: Muddle 1.5 cups strawberries and a handful of large basil leaves. Combine 2 cups water, 2 cups sugar and strawberries on the stove. Mix well while bringing to a simmer. Once at a simmer, add basil and continue to simmer for 3-5 minutes until lightly fragrant. Take off the heat and let cool before straining. 

To create the Strawberry Ice Cubes: Cut the stems off 1 full package of strawberries and puree in a blender with 1 cup of water until very smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to fill small cube ice trays and freeze.
