The Tawny Port Finished Bourbon is a 6 Year Aged Bourbon that aged primarily on a barge on the Mississippi river before finishing in a Port wine cask its last year. We sourced the port wine cask directly from the cooperage in Portugal. Tawny Port is a fortified wine from Northern Portugal that is often enjoyed as a dessert wine.
Tasting Notes:
Flamed orange peel and brown sugar on the nose transitions to mature oak, nutmeg, and vanilla on the palette.
A lasting finish of cinnamon, leather, and maple syrup
