Magic Beans have a passion for music that is as infectious as their songs, both of which have gained them national notoriety in a short time. The band honors the wide diaspora of American music by incorporating the flavors of funk, R’n’B, rock, soul, and even some country influence into a complete package that is noticeably their own. Their latest release, Unzipped, is an all instrumental tribute to lo-fi recording techniques, hip hop beat tapes, and 90’s neo-soul. Previous studio releases like, Slice of Life, showcase the bands’ depth of songwriting and composition as well as their knack for catchy lyrics. The Beans have extensively toured their analog dance music and neo-jam across the whole country, earning them an expansive fanbase.

Formed in 2012 in Harford County, Maryland, Deer Creek Sharp Shooters (DCSS) are six friends united by their shared passion for bluegrass and a vision to explore the boundaries of acoustic music. Since relocating to Steamboat Springs and Denver, Colorado in 2016, the band has truly hit its stride, blending traditional bluegrass roots with a playful, innovative spirit. Known for their high-energy performances and infectious camaraderie, DCSS creates a show experience that’s as much about connection as it is about music. From blistering, fast-paced bluegrass jams to quirky, crowd-pleasing tunes about cats, their setlists are as dynamic as their personalities. 🕺 MARK MORRIS, ARTIST AT LARGE
Mark Morris is a bluegrass musician and the founder of Rapidgrass, a band known for its unique “rapidgrass” sound, which blends bluegrass, gypsy jazz, swing, and classical influences. He’s also a professional skier and photographer. Morris started playing guitar and mandolin at age 10 and later co-founded the RapidGrass Music Festival in his hometown of Idaho Springs, Colorado. We’re fortunate to have Mark sit in for Mythic Beats!
